Blog Post 4: Researching Materials

Image
We began researching materials and their costs for our senior project. With a Michael's coupon, we are able to buy a pack of 10 canvases for $12.99. We both have paint and art supplies at home that we could use for our art sessions to reduce costs. However, if we were to buy multiple packs of canvases, the cost would be expensive, so we were considering an alternative option of having people paint on paper instead, as this would have the same relaxing effect. Blog Post 3: Fundraising for Our Project

Image
We have been brainstorming ideas to fundraise for our project. We have contacted a few restaurants: Chipotle, CREAM, and Gong Cha. We have found that Chipotle will not be a feasible option, as we need to make a minimum of $300 before being able to make a percentage of profit, and we only have a 4 hour time window, making this hard to achieve. At CREAM, the percentage of profit we can make is only 10% within a 4 hour window, making this difficult to help us fundraise a large amount for our project. Gong Cha seems to be the best option, as they will allow us to run the fundraiser for 4 days and it is close to school, making it easy for people to come during lunch and after school. We have decided to hold our fundraiser during finals week, as students will have time after their finals to get boba, as school ends early each day this week.
