Blog Post 4: Researching Materials

We began researching materials and their costs for our senior project. With a Michael's coupon, we are able to buy a pack of 10 canvases for $12.99. We both have paint and art supplies at home that we could use for our art sessions to reduce costs. However, if we were to buy multiple packs of canvases, the cost would be expensive, so we were considering an alternative option of having people paint on paper instead, as this would have the same relaxing effect. I own a polaroid camera, so our plan for taking polaroids at SIR day would not cost us much in terms of equipment. However, polaroid film is expensive, and is around $60-$70 at Costco for 60 films. This led us to rethink our idea for polaroids, and we were thinking of simply bringing a camera and taking pictures and compiling them in a Google photos folder for our class instead. We still have more thinking to do about what other supplies we need for our gift baskets and other events we want to hold, however, we have definitely thought of rethinking a few ideas to make our project more cost effective.
